What a consultation can include
A doctor takes your history, examines what can safely be examined on camera, and explains the likely diagnosis and next steps. If clinically appropriate, the doctor may issue a prescription that is valid where they are licensed. Pharmacy availability and medicine costs are separate.
The doctor may advise an in-person GP, injury unit, Emergency Department or other service if a video consultation is not suitable. Certificates and referrals are issued only after clinical assessment and are never guaranteed.
